Fabulous Fox Theatre - Atlanta Customers Reviews
Morrissey Shines
The day started as stormy as some of Moz’s lyrics, but as The sun set and Interpol came to the stage the clouds had passed to expose a full harvest moon. Morrissey came out in a playful mood and seemed to enjoy the evening as well and even interacted with the crowd.
The song list was a good cross-section of new and old and the crowd enjoyed them all. The only slack was during some of the covers off the last album. They sounded great, but a lack of familiarity with the tunes led the crowd to use those as concession breaks. Of course, any Smiths tunes or early solo songs will always elicit a large response and the crowd responded on cue.
Morrissey mentioned that this was their 1,000th show together and added a self-jibe that it equates to 5-million bad reviews. Well, on this night he’ll be sad to hear about this good one.
